Pannier has leather on both ends, bottom and approximately half way up front and back sides.
Leather is full grain leather- not the cheap split leather used in most leather panniers.

Leather pack pannier protects panniers from tears due to trees and rocks.
Canvas is heavy USA 32 oz, # 2 duck, normal panniers are made of 24 oz canvas.
Solid brass hardware.
Lidded with polypropylene binding.
Box shaped lids keep rain and snow out.
Inside seams with double stitching.
Copper rivets.
Herman oak leather straps - the highest quality leather available.
