Porch: Made of
Relite, 10' long, fully enclosed with screen on
front.

Cook Shack: Made
of Relite, 12' long, fully enclosed, includes stove jack.
2' overlap with roof and sidewalls. Has grommets on bottom
of cook shack for staking.
RECOMMENDATION: Cook shack nearly cost as much as the outfitter
tent your are purchasing it for. Sometimes it makes sense to buy
a smaller outfitter tent for a cookshack and also use it when
fewer hunters go hunting.
Tent Fly: Made of Relite provides extra insulation and
helps repel snow and rain in extreme weather conditions. 1'
overhang on both sides. Zipper opening for stove pipe. Specify
relite color when purchasing - if not stated a tan relite fly
will be ordered. Tensioners, ropes and stakes not
included.
Stake in Floor: Floors have a 5' x 5' cutout to accommodate
a stove. Relite floors - white or tan or a 13
oz white laminated vinyl - you choose. Specify
relite color when purchasing - tan relite floor
will be ordered if color not specified .

Blend Outfitter tents window placement: There
are no seams in relite outfitter tent walls - sidewalls, front
or back. Because
there are no seams in relite walls you can place the windows at
any location along the walls. The only factor in window
placement is the tent frame legs. The tent frame legs are evenly
spaced on the frame depending upon the number of rafters in your
outfitter tent frame. If you do not want to have a leg in front
of a window be very specific when ordering a window location. Remember,
there will always be a tent frame leg in the exact center of a
tent when you have a 3 rafter, 5 rafter or 7 rafter tent frame.
Front flap stove jack location : There
are no seams in relite outfitter tents on the front door flaps.
Consequently, seam
location will not be a factor in the location of the stove jack
in the door flap. However, I would recommend a minimum
of 3' from the sidewall to prevent overheating your relite sidewalls.
Additionally, the higher the stove jack location on the door flap,
the better draw for your outfitter tent stove. The stove jack must
be in the left front door flap. The right door flap is
the normal outfitter tent
entry as the right door flap has a 10" storm flap
that overlaps the left door flap.
FOR INDIVIDUALS PACKING IN
ON PACK ANIMALS - SETTING UP OUTFITTER TENTS USING LODGE
POLES
Individuals packing in on pack animals sometimes
use a lodge pole frame to save weight and space instead of
packing in tent frames. General recommendations and guidance:
Use outfitter tents with a reinforced tent ridge/extra
layer of canvas. It is very easy to poke a hole or tear the tent
ridge if you do not properly remove/smooth the lodge branch even
with the lodge pole.
When
selecting poles for pitching outfitter tents, try to use poles
that do not taper much. A minimum diameter of four inches (on
the smaller end) is preferable. Young lodge pole pine trees make
ideal poles for this purpose.
Use the best pole (clean and strong) for the ridgepole
as it takes the most stress and is the most difficult to change
should something go wrong.
When attaching one pole to another, lash them
together with rope and or drive pole spikes through them.
The best way to tightly secure the two poles forming
the "A" of the lodge pole frame is to lay two poles
on the ground on top of one another. Tie a rope tightly around
both small ends of the lodge poles about one foot from the top.
Then spread out the two poles to form an "A". You can secure the "A" poles much
tighter this way than making an "A" from the two poles then tying
the two poles together.
If you are likely to us the same campsite in the
future you should cache the poles when breaking camp. It is best
to tie your lodge pole frames up against a tree to get them off
the ground, If you leave the poles on the ground they will start
to rot and weaken much quicker. The poles can give you many years
of service if you care for them.
