ALUMINUM IS 1 1/4" OUTSIDE DIAMETER AND 3 ANGLES ARE STEEL FOR EXTRA STRENGTH.

2 RAFTER & T POLE is recommended for wedge tents with sewn in floors. Very difficult to set up rafters in a tent with sewn in floor. You will cut off rafters 4" just to have the rafter slide into the ridge angle.

3 RAFTER is recommended for tents without floor. 2 Rafter & T pole can also be used in a tent without floor.

WEDGE TENTS ARE STRONGER AND MORE DURABLE THAN SPIKE OR RANGE TENTS. Spike and range tents have the entire weight of the roof, and any snow loads, on the peak of the tent, creating high pressure at that one point. Wedge tents have a 10-12 ' ridge that supports the roof - not just 3" like a range or spike tent.

WEDGE CANVAS TENTS - ARMY DUCK - DOUBLE FILL QUALITY
  • Made of 10.1 oz "Double Fill" cotton - Army Duck
  • Army Duck wedge canvas tents have two threads twisted together to make one single thread making the canvas stronger and more durable. These double threads are woven into canvas both lengthwise and crosswise.
  • Makes a much tighter weave.
  • Keeps heat in and moisture out better than other canvas tents.
  • Army Duck canvas is more durable and stronger than other canvas material and is used in all high quality wedge canvas tents.

CANVAS AVAILABLE FOR WEDGE CANVAS TENTS

  • 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Marine Grade : Treated for mildew and water resistance. Will not shrink more than 2%.
  • 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Marine Grade Fire Resistant: Same as above but treated to resist fire. Fire resistant wedge canvas tents will only burn if there is a continuous flame against the canvas.

    8. Free reinforced ridge, extra layer of canvas.
    9. Free REINFORCED ROOF -HEAVY DUTY WEBBING ALONG THE ENTIRE ROOF WITH STEEL D RINGS TO TIE ROPES TO STAKES. D rings and webbing also helps maintain shape of roof.
    10. The Wedge Canvas Tent standard features are normally options on other tents that cost over $200.00.
  2. Nylon stake loops on bottom of roof on wedge canvas tent .
  3. THE WEDGE'S SHARP ROOFLINE ALLOWS SNOW TO EASILY SLIDE OFF ROOF WHICH PREVENTS SNOW BUILD UP. The wedge canvas tent is a great winter tent.
  4. Grommets on each end of tent ridge to secure tent in high winds.
  5. Zippered door including storm flap with 10" overlap with buckles.
  6. Colors available: WHITE only.
  7. 10" vinyl sod cloth (sewn on at bottom of roof) which helps keep it clean and acts as an air seal against ground. Sod cloth prevents tent roof from touching ground. When canvas touches the ground the canvas acts as a wick drawing water into the canvas.
  8. Sod cloth is only on wedge canvas tents with no sewn in floor.
  9. Reinforced ridge - has an extra layer of canvas. Reinforced ridge is highly recommended for hunters using a lodge pole frame.
  10. Stove jack sizes are 5" or 6".Second stove jack in back wall is a $35 option.
  11. Stove jack has flap with ties.
  12. Stove jack location left side in roof as entering Wilderness camping tent.
  13. Heavy duty YKK #10 zipper
  14. Ridgepole opening easily allows for use of wooden ridge pole. Flap covers opening when internal frame used.
  15. Reinforced wall corners with extra stitching and extra layer of canvas.
  16. Reinforced ridge ends with extra stitching and extra layer of canvas.
  17. Double stitched for extra strength. With the Wilderness extra reinforcement throughout, these are exceptional four season tents
  18. Great canvas tent for packing in on horses - folds muich smaller and is lighter than a wall tent as it has no side walls.
  19. Ridge opening on each end allows use of lodge pole frame. Or just put a rope or plastic coated cable through ridge openings to act as a ridge pole.
  20. SHIPPING - Lower 48 states. Alaska and Canada call for shipping
    • 12x10 - without floor $40
    • 12x10 - with floor $50
    • 12x14 - without floor $50
    • 12x14 - with floor $60

  21. A FLY IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for any canvas tent you purchase. Stove sparks from the stove pipe will occasionally land on your canvas tent and burn small holes in the roof even if you have a fire treated tent. The only way to prevent roof burn holes is a fly. A fly also provides another moisture barrier, protects the canvas tent from UV rays and helps keep the tent roof clean when camping under trees.
  22. A loose vinyl floor is also available.
  23. WEDGE CANVAS TENT and FRAME IS MUCH FASTER TO SET UP THAN A WALL TENT AS THERE ARE NO EAVE TENT LENGTHS OR LEGS.
  24. ONLY 3 FRAME ANGLES REQUIRED FOR A CANVAS WEDGE TENT FRAME VS UP TO 12 ANGLES FOR COMPARABLE SIZE WALL TENT.
  25. A wedge canvas tent frame normally cost half as much as a wall tent frame when buying an angle kit and purchasing steel conduit. Click angle kits for more info on angle kits
  26. NO SEWN IN FLOOR : FRAME ANGLES 2 ridge end angles and a 4 way ridge angle for the middle rafter.
  27. SEWN IN FLOOR : FRAME ANGLES 2 ridge angles and a T angle in the middle for ridge support.
