Angle kit for large canvas tent 10x12 and above ship 1 business day after ordering

The Wilderness Canvas Camping Tent is " HIGH QUALITY ". The main difference between Wilderness Canvas Camping Tents and other tents is the additional reinforcement on the Wilderness Tent which makes it stronger and more durable. The Wilderness Canvas Camping Tent has webbing on the eaves with D rings making it much stronger compared to having only grommets pressed into canvas eaves like standard tents. Additionally, the ridge has a sewn double layer of canvas for reinforcement. The most pressure on a tent is always at the eaves and the ridge because of eave guy ropes pulling the canvas tight to insure easy rain run off and to prevent rainwater pooling at the eaves. Be assured, the additional reinforcement on the Wilderness Tent will help provide a quality tent that can withstand rough hunting conditions.

DOUBLE FILL QUALITY - KNOWN AS ARMY DUCK

  • Army Duck - 10.1 oz "Double Fill" cotton. A white canvas wall tent.
  • Army Duck canvas has 2 threads twisted together making 1 single thread creating a stronger and more durable canvas. Double threads are woven both crosswise and lengthwise.
  • The tighter weave keeps moisture out and heat in better than other canvas camping tents.
AVAILABLE CANVAS
  • 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Marine Grade: Will not shrink more than 3%. Treated for water and mildew resistance. Marine grade is normally required for a winter camping tent.
  • 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Marine Grade Fire Resistant: Same as above but additionally treated for fire resistance.

    7. FREE window on back wall or FREE zippered back door with storm flap, your choice.
    8. tensioners and ropes included for each canvas camping tent
    9. FREE stovejack
    10. FREE tent bag with draw sting
    11. The many standard features on a Wilderness Canvas Cabin Tent are normally options on other tents that cost $150 - $200.00.
  2. OPTIONS AVAILABLE: 2 Side windows ($50.00), Floor, Fly, and Screen Door, $50 per screen door.
  3. Eaves have nylon webbing with D-rings for extra strength. Eave webbing with D-ring is much stronger/durable than other canvas tents that have grommets.
  4. Finished wall height is 5' on all Wilderness canvas camping tents.
  5. Seams are double stitched for extra strength on these large canvas tents.
  6. Reinforced wall corners and reinforced ridge ends with extra stitching and extra layer of canvas.
  7. Zippered front door with storm flap included with a 10" overlap with buckles.
  8. Wilderness canvas cabin tent available only in white.
  9. All Wilderness canvas hunting tents have a back door with storm flap or a window 18"x24", zippered, w/flap centered on back wall - YOUR CHOICE. The 16x20 only comes standard with a back door- there is no back window option.
  10. 10" vinyl sod cloth that is sewn on at bottom of wall. Sod cloth acts as an air seal which is a necessity for all winter camping tents.
  11. Stove jack location left side in roof as entering.
    • Stove jack will accommodate 5" or 6" stove pipe.
    • Stove jack has flap with ties.
  12. Reinforced ridge - has an extra layer of canvas along the entire ridge. Ridge reinforcement is a key factor when you use a hunting tent with a wood ridgepole in the backcountry.
  13. Ridgepole opening easily allows for use of lodge pole frame. Flap covers ridge opening when using an internal frame.
  14. Heavy duty YKK #10 zipper
  15. Nylon stake loops on bottom of sidewalls of each Wilderness canvas cabin tent.
  16. Like most companies, Wilderness canvas hunting tent sizes listed are cut sizes. Cut size is the size of the canvas before the canvas pieces are sewn together. After the canvas is sewn together the seams and hems reduce the length and width 3-6 inches.
  17. A FLY IS RECOMMENDED for any tent you buy even if you use a spark arrestor on your stove. Stove sparks/embers from the stove pipe will land on your tent occasioanally and burn small holes in the roof regardless if you have a fire treated tent. A fly is the only sure way to prevent roof burn holes. It is much better to have holes in your fly than holes in the tent roof which allows rainwater to leak in
  18. TESTIMONIALS. I recommend you read some of the many testimonials I receive from very satisfied Wilderness Tent customers located below the option pricing table.

Floor: Loose heavy duty vinyl, grommets at corner for stakes.. Stove area is cut out.
Rain Fly: Stove jack area cut out and reinforced with webbing. Clear poly material - 100% UV protection. Includes ropes and tensioners only, NO stakes/spikes included. I recommend a fly for all hunting tents which provides one more moisture barrier AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, A FLY PREVENTS SPARKS BURNING HOLES IN THE TENT ROOF.

TESTIMONIALS - WILDERNESS CANVAS CAMPING TENTS

We received the Wilderness Tent yesterday and set it up. WOW! We're impressed. The quality is top notch and every necessary and nice to have feature was thought out and well done. Randy

I picked you because of the information you had on your website. Info was appreciated and I bought a great tent from you. Harry

Thanks for a great product. Hunting camp will be much more enjoyable this year. Bart

We just bought one of your Wilderness Tents and we love it. Joe

It is a great, great tent. Thanks for all the work you did to help us out. Carl

Hunting Tent Frames: I recommend an internal frame as it provides the most roof support. Frames that do not have rafters, such as the A-frame, lodgepole and elk frame, put much more pressure and weight under snowloads on the tent ridge and eaves where guy ropes are tied to the grommets or d-rings. Tents with significant snowloads have a much higher probability of tearing or splitting when an internal frame is not used.

Hunting Tent Stoves: Carefully review the stove characteristics of each stove you are considering, most importantly stove dimensions. To effectively compare each stoves heating capability/size of the firebox multiply the stoves width x length x height to determine the total cubic inches of the firebox. Deduct 15% of the total firebox cubic inches if the stove is round or octagon. The size of the firebox determines the heating capabiity of the different stoves you are considering. It should be noted that stoves with airtight doors and baffles significantly increases a stoves heating efficency. If you are in a climate with very cold conditions you might want to consider moving up one stove size above the manufacturers tent size heating recommendation.
